Transport For London Discount

As you probably already know London students can get a 30% discount on a weekly and monthly travel card on London's Public Transport...but what you probably don’t already know is that ULU will be campaigning on behalf of London students to extend the discounts to day and single tickets.

The discount scheme is a fantastic benefit for students in London but for it to positively impact on all students it needs the added flexibility of applying to singles and one-day travel cards.

The nature of student life is changing and this addition to  the discount scheme would affect those students who live on a campus and don't venture far everyday, as well as those students who live  and study in central London and can often walk or cycle to where they need to get to.

ULU has already engaged in talks with the GLA who are supporting the campaign and we will be submitting our proposal to TfL shortly in order to have a response by Christmas.
