6 Standing and Sub-Committees
6.1 The Standing Committees of the Union Council shall be the Executive Committee, the Sports and Societies Committee and the Union Finance Committee. All standing committees shall send a report to each meeting of the Council.
6.2 The Union Council and its Standing Committees may establish and discharge sub-committees and delegate powers to them or to individuals save that such establishment or delegation shall not affect the rights, powers or representation of any other Standing or sub-committee or individual and that a record of delegated powers will be reported to and retained by the President, the Vice-President with responsibility for financial affairs, the Senior Treasurer, and the General Manager.
6.3 Standing and sub-committees shall make and interpret Standing Orders for the conduct of their business. No Standing Orders made under this Constitution or their interpretation shall contradict anything in this Constitution or Regulations made under it. Statute 30 and Reserved Items of Business apply to all standing and sub-committees of Union Council.
6.4 The President, Vice Presidents, may attend and speak, but may not vote, at any meeting of which they are not a member. The Senior Treasurer and the General Manager of the Union may attend and speak, but may not vote, at any meetings of the Union Council, Standing Committees and any sub-committees.
6.5 The Union Council, and other Committees within this Constitution, may admit persons as visitors or observers to the meeting, in accordance with Standing Orders.
6.6 The Union Governance Committee shall be a sub-committee of the Union Council, in order to service Union Council and assist in the running of Union Council.
