PURPLES AND LAURALS...
Purples Ball A University Sporting Purple or Half-Purple is awarded by ULU to the University’s top sports men and women and those who have performed at the highest representative level, in a similar way to Oxford and Cambridge Blues. These prestigious honours are awarded at the annual Purples Ball, which is held every spring and is the social highlight of the year for the University of London sports men and women. The purpose of these awards are to acknowledge sporting achievement but don’t be put off if you prefer the social side of sport to the competitive aspect. Many of the clubs welcome beginners and most have an active social life. If you would like to get involved in the organisation of this legendary night contact Mike Neville, VP Sports & Societies Officer, by email at [email protected] ----------------------------------------------------------- Laurels Ceremony Have you made a difference to your fellow students’ lives at University?
