ST. GEORGE’S MEDICAL SCHOOL
![]() Cranmer Terrace London SW17 0RE T 020 8672 9944 Many of you may not have heard of St George’s, until now! St George’s, University of London is a health and social care institution of over 3,600 students. We are the country’s only free-standing institution for healthcare, and we are the only university in London attached to a hospital. We’ve a rich 250 year-long history, with famous alumni being Edward Jenner (who invented the vaccine), John Hunter (who founded surgery) and of course, Harry Hill! ![]() Set in beautiful Tooting, St George’s is best known for its infamous “St. George’s Discos?, with the longest (and cheapest!) bar in London, serving the very best in classic cheese, rock, pop, dance and alternative in the Main room and Big Booty Rhythm and Bass in the second, so there’s a little something for everyone. Our discos are themed, ranging from the world renowned “Back 2 Skool? to Beach Parties, Bling!, and much more. Everyone gets dressed up and has a great time. As if that wasn’t enough, we also have hugely successful Sports nights, Quizzes, Acoustic nights, and entertainers on a regular basis, plus new promotion nights and much more due to begin this year, St George’s is a hotbed of up and coming music talent, and our acoustic nights are yet to be rivalled. Managing to beat off all other medical institutions in the ULU sports league and coming third overall, St George’s is full of top talent, and highly successful (but not too competitive!) sports teams. Clubs and Societies alike are flourishing here at St George’s, with our Revue Society receiving great accolades and critical acclaim at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Wilderness Society mountain-climbing in Bolivia, and last year’s hugely successful musical society rendition of “Little Shop of Horrors?, there really is so much to see and do here. So when you get bored, feel free to meander south of the river and pay us a visit. You won’t be disappointed! ![]() |
