4th Floor Extension Malet Street London WC1E 7HX T 020 7631 6335 F 020 7631 6349 www.bbk.ac.uk/su The purpose of the Students’ Union is to provide services for students by students – and we do this by focusing on Representation, Resources, and Recreation (the 3 R’s). The Union provides a variety of resources ranging from photocopying to the Union Shop. We maintain the C&S/Television Room, and we hold a file of useful contacts for Clubs & Societies so that they can focus more on what they want to do rather than on how to find someone to do it. We operate an Advice Centre 3 nights a week so that students don’t have to take time off work when they have a problem and need to find helpful information quickly, and our Counselling Service is once again being expanded by one counsellor in order to offer help to more students. We have also expanded the range of courses offered by our ‘Skills for Study’ programme to include Saturday workshops. Birbeck’s bar has just this year had a huge redevelopment so do come and have a look on the 4th floor of the Birkbeck builing, Malet Street.
