► Temporary Membership

If you are or want to become a Temporary Member of the University of London Union then you are one of the following:

•    A student from the UK or abroad and can prove that you have student status, e.g. by having a valid student card from the College/University where you study.
•    Are attending an event or conference at the University of London or ULU for two days or more.

If you don’t fit into one of the categories above, then why not see if you fit into the Full/Ordinary Member or Associate Member category?

Benefits of being a Temporary Member of ULU

If you become a Temporary Member of ULU, you will be able to use the Students’ Union as if it were your own! The membership entitles you to become a member of Energy Base, our on-site fitness centre, at a reduced rate (see rates here), you can enter the building after 6.30pm to use the bars and facilities and you can even join a ULU Club or Society.

To have a look at more of what ULU has to offer, take a look at the ULU Guide online, or download the full brochure here.

When joining a club or society, you will not be eligible to compete in any National University leagues involved with BUSA (British Universities Sports Association) or compete for representative sides, however you will be able to get involved with all of their training and other activities.  Not all clubs compete in National competitions, so please check with each club individually regarding these restrictions.

ULU has a number of partnerships with American Colleges in London who use ULU as their own Students’ Union.  If you are interested in participating in a partnership scheme with ULU so that all of your students/members can benefit, then why not call us and find out more, the contact details are listed below.

The Temporary Membership card is valid for a year from the date of issue.
