ULU has two Ford Tourneo people carriers which you can use for your activity.  The vehicles seat eight passengers plus the driver.  Clubs/societies can provisionally book the vehicles by contacting the Activities Development Officer by TELEPHONE 020 7664 2007 or in PERSON.  If the Activities Development Officer is not available any other member of the Membership Services department can take bookings.  Bookings may only be made during the hours 9.30 am-5.30 pm Mondays-Fridays and will only be confirmed when a booking form has been completed, submitted, approved and the relevant booking charge has been paid.

Each individual/group wishing to use a vehicle must provide a registered driver ie someone who has completed the ULU driver assessment or holds a current MIDAS certificate.  The only people who can collect the keys for and drive the vehicles are registered drivers.

The following people can book the vehicles:

• Any officer of a ULU club/society listed on the club/society’s officer contact sheet
  
• Members of ULU staff

Bookings can be made any time in advance up to a maximum of three terms but no club/society can hold more than THREE provisional and/or confirmed bookings in the diary at any one time*.  A booking may be for one or two vehicles at a time ie for the same time period such as a whole weekend.

Hire charges for each vehicle are as follows:

• BOOKING CHARGE: Per day or part there of £15.00
• DISTANCE RATE: Per mile £0.20

The Congestion Charge also applies if the vehicles are used during charging hours.

The vehicles should be returned clean inside and out.  Excess charges will be made for failure to comply with the hygiene and safety regulations.

A trip registration form and any additional paperwork required under the safety framework must be completed and submitted before the trip can take place.

Failure to comply with any of the regulations of use may result in suspension of booking rights for the offending individual/group.

*BUCS events will take priority provided at least two week’s notice is given.  BUCS events do not count in your allocation of three advance bookings.
