ULU EMERGENCY MOTION: DEMONSTRATION 27/01/04

THIS UNION NOTES

 

1.          That the Second Reading of the Higher Education Bill will take place on 27/01/04.

2.          That LSE, Imperial, UCL, Birkbeck, SOAS and Goldsmiths are organising a demonstration outside Parliament on this day for London students.

 

THIS UNION BELIEVES

 

1.      That at Presidents Council in December and January there was clear support from the presidents of UL colleges for a demonstration on 27/01/04.

 

THIS UNION RESOLVES

 

1.          To support the demonstration being organised by LSE, Imperial, UCL, Birkbeck, SOAS and Goldsmiths on the 27/01/04.

2.          To mandate the President to co-ordinate and publicise this demonstration.

3.          To mandate the President to ensure that stewards are found to provide information, assistance and organisation on the day.
