► Gamesoc

Wargames, roleplaying games, board games, card games. If you would like to escape to other worlds, explore fantasy, sci-fi, horror or just have a laugh with other like-minded people, elves or funghi from Yuggoth, Gamesoc is the society for you!

Who we are:
Gamesoc holds regular tabletop wargames, role-playing games, card games and a variety of board games are run to cater for wide tastes in gaming.  The society has an informal atmosphere for the enjoyment of everyone and we often meet outside the society.

Weekly Meetings: Gamesoc meets once a week on Wednesdays year-round in the main ULU building. Newcomers are guaranteed to find a game at Wednesday meetings at one of our "One-shot" games, single-session games open to everyone designed to cater for the casual gamer and newcomer alike.

Events:
In addition to meeting weekly on Wednesdays, we encourage and help organise members to take part in a variety of outside events such as conventions, social gatherings and gaming championships.  In past years, members of the society have visited the gaming convention, Dragonmeet, and a large team was fielded for the Student Nationals held in Sheffield in April 2006. We are planning to gather ourselves up for another expedition to the nationals this year - once more in Sheffield - a little closer than last year's which were in Edinburgh, hence the lack of attendance.

Membership:
Membership is open to all University of London students. GameSoc recruit all year round, and although we ask that regular attendees join the society, newcomers are always welcome at our weekly events to try things out in a relaxed and informal gaming environment.

The committee are always happy to answer any questions you might have and can be contacted at: [email protected].
