Who we are:
Gamesoc holds regular tabletop wargames, role-playing games, card games and a variety of board games are run to cater for wide tastes in gaming. The society has an informal atmosphere for the enjoyment of everyone and we often meet outside the society.
Weekly Meetings:
Gamesoc meets twice a week on Sundays and Wednesdays in term in the main ULU building. Details of meetings are on our events page. Newcomers are guaranteed to find a game at Wednesday meetings at one of our "One-shot" games, single-session games open to everyone designed to cater for the casual gamer and newcomer alike.
Events:
In addition to meeting weekly on Wednesday and Sunday in term we encourage and help organise members to take part in a variety of outside events such as conventions, social gatherings and gaming championships. Last year, members of the society have visited the gaming convention, �Dragonmeet� and a large team was fielded for the Student Nationals held in Sheffield in April 2006.
Membership:
Membership is open to all UL students. GameSoc recruit all year round, we ask that regular attendees join the society, however newcomers are always welcome at our weekly events to try things out in a relaxed and informal gaming environment.
