The University of London Union Temporary Membership scheme aims to promote the ULU building as a social recreation facility within the central London area to people who are not registered as full-time students of the University of London. This scheme has been in existence for over 22 years.
The Temporary Membership is divided into the following categories and the requirements for membership are as follows:
Graduates: Students who have graduated from one of the University of London colleges.
- Complete application form
- Produce a photocopy of graduation certificate or an alumni card
- Fee £17.50
Students:
a] External students on a long distance course who have registered with the University of London as well as members taking extra-mural courses at one of the University of London colleges.
- Complete application form
- Produce a photocopy of letter of registration
- Fee £17.50
b] Students from non-University of London colleges.
- Complete application form
- Produce photocopy of college student i.d.
- Fee £17.50
Staff: Members of staff working for one of the University of London colleges.
- Complete application form
- Produce college staff i.d.
- Fee £17.50
ALL PHOTOCOPIES OF CERTIFICATES OR ID’S MUST BE ATTACHED TO THE APPLICATION FORM AS PROOF.
- Senate House Staff should obtain a “STAFF ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP AT ULU” form from Human Resources and signed by their Head of Department and attach it to the application form.
- Private Members: Members of the public who wish to make use of Energy Base pay a joining fee of £25, however they do not require an Associate Membership card.
American Programs in London
Arrangements are made between the Head of Programme and the Membership Services Assistant. The fee is £17.50 for 12 months regardless of their length of stay. The Head of Programme is then billed for the full amount.
For group memberships, a list should be drawn up of students’ names, photographs and sent to the Membership Services Assistant so that the cards can be processed.
American students wishing to join as individuals pay £17.50 for the membership card. Requirements for the membership are as follows:
- Complete application form
- Produce photocopy of college student i.d.
- Fee £17.50
