CONSTITUTIONAL REVIEW ON THE SABBATICAL EXECUTIVE POSITIONS

THIS UNION NOTES
1. That the Constitutional Review working Party has meet as required by policy passed at the last Union Council;
THIS UNION RESOLVES
1. Emphasise the role of the President with respect to the Public Relations of ULU;
2. Make the President responsible for the convening of all political campaigns;
3. Make the President the Secretary to the Executive Committee;
4. Move the responsibility of reviewing, interpreting and proposing alterations to the Unions Regulations and Constitution to Governance Committee;
5. Shift the responsibility for convening of the meetings of Intercollegiate Halls Presidents Meeting to the Intercollegiate Halls Officer; and
6. Move responsibility for educational issues and representation to the Vice-President (Welfare and Student Affairs).
The Vice-President (Finance and Societies)
1. Move responsibility for Societies to the Vice-President (Sports);
2. To rename Vice-President (Finance, Services and Operations);
3. To clarify the responsibility for Financial decisions, monitoring expenditure and compliance with Financial Procedures lies with the Vice-President (F,S&O);
4. To emphasise the role of the Vice-President (F,S&O) in the provision of ULU’s services;
5. To emphasis the role of the Vice-President (F,S&O) in the marketing of ULU’s services; and
6. To clarify the responsibility of the Vice-President (F,S&O) in matters related to Health and Safety and the Union.
The Vice-President (Welfare and Student Affairs)
1. To emphasise the role in the convening of the welfare campaigns; and
2. To be responsible for educational issues and representation;
The Vice-President (Sports)
1. To take responsibility for the Societies;
2. To change the name to Vice-President (Sports and Societies); and
3. To take responsibility for the networks (if the motion for the creation of networks is approved)
1. To sit on Laurels Committee
1. To make to other minor grammatical, format and resultant changes as laid out in section A:2
