► A.1.12 The Intercollegiate Halls Officer

A.1.12    The Intercollegiate Halls Officer shall:

 

i]              Be responsible for all those areas of Union business which specifically relate to Intercollegiate Halls and their residents, and organise relevant educational and training events and briefings [in consultation with the ULU President];

ii]             Liaise with relevant officers at other Students’ Unions;

iii]            Represent ULU to the University [in consultation with the ULU President and Vice-President [Welfare & Student Affairs] on all matters relating to Intercollegiate Hall provision;

iv]            Seek to represent the needs and interests of residents of Intercollegiate Halls’ students in institutions of the University of London;

v]             Liaise with the appropriate Sabbaticals and advise the Executive on issues specifically related to Intercollegiate Halls;

vi]            Liaise with all Presidents and committees in Intercollegiate Halls on a regular basis;

vii] Be the main point of communication between ULU and the Intercollegiate Halls;

viii] Play a key role in campaigning on the wider issues of student accommodation including college site specific campaigns;

ix] Liaise with the University and Intercollegiate Halls Committees to assist them with the running of elections an their democratic structures, ensuring that any issues are reported to the Executive and Council;

x) Convene and attend the Intercollegiate Halls Presidents’ Meeting;

xi] Carry out such duties as may from time to time be laid down by the Union Council or the Executive or as determined on an annual basis at Executive Training; and

               

xii] Make verbal reports to each meeting of the Executive; and

xiii]       Produce for their successor, an informative hand-over pack, which shall include all relevant contacts,
