A.1.9 The Environment and Ethics Officer shall:
i) Be responsible for all those area of Union business which specifically related to the environmental and ethical awareness, and organise relevant educational and training events;
ii) Liaise with student officers with responsibility for environmental issues and any environmental societies within the University of London and relevant external organisations;
i) Liaise with the appropriate sabbaticals and advise the Executive and the Finance Committee on environmental and ethical issues;
ii) Produce an annual report for ULU Council on ULU’s Environmental and ethical policies and their implementation;
iii) Carry out such duties as may from time to time be laid down by the Union Council or the Executive or as determined on an annual basis at Executive training;
iv] Liaise with other relevant officers and groups within UL Collegiate Unions, forming an ‘officer network’ which shall endeavour (in addition to email/phone contact) to meet at least once per term;
v] Make verbal reports to each meeting of the Executive, where applicable this shall include a report from the relevant ‘officer network’;
vi] Produce for their successor, an informative hand-over pack, which shall include all relevant contacts;
vii) Encourage ULU to carry out its business in an ethical and environmentally friendly way; and
Encourage awareness of broader environmental issues.
