► A.1.3 The Postgraduate Students' Officer

A.1.3       The Postgraduate Students’ Officer shall:

 

i)                    Be responsible for all those areas of Union business which specifically relate to Postgraduates, and organise relevant educational and training events and briefings;

ii)                   Represent ULU to the National Postgraduates Committee;

iii)                 Seek to represent the needs and interests of PGCE students in institutions of the University of London,

iv)                  Liaise with the appropriate Sabbaticals and advise the Executive on issues specifically related to Postgraduate students;

v)                   Carry out such duties as may from time to time be laid down by the Union Council or the Executive or as determined on an annual basis at Executive Training;

vi)                  Attend the University of London Library Committee as Union’s representative, this duty deferring to the Vice-President [Welfare & Student Affairs] in case of absence;

vii)                To liaise with other relevant officers and groups within UL Collegiate Unions, forming an ‘officer network’ which shall endeavour (in addition to email/phone contact) to meet at least once per term;

viii)               Make verbal reports to each meeting of the Executive, where applicable this shall include a report from the relevant ‘officer network’; and

Produce for their successor, an informative hand-over pack, which shall include all relevant contacts.
