Just to let you all know that the ULU Purples Ball is on Friday the 9th March this year so put it in your diaries. Tickets go on sale next week so we'll be taking money next week.
The ball will be held Marriott Hotel, Regents Park again. For those that have not been before this is the annual ULU sports teams night including dinner, presentation of prizes and disco! Casino and Scaletrix also booked. Tickets are £45 each. There's normally quite a bit of free alcohol to be had at the beginning of the night (especially if we steal wine from Lacrosse!).
The ball is always a fantastic night and hopefully we should have a few members of the team receiving awards. It would be great if we could have as many swimmers as possible there.
Our previous champagne policy of 'down one take two' may have to be controlled this year as some members of the team (you know who you are) have ended up asleep under the table/ topless on the dancefloor/ in bed by 10/ on a night bus shouting "I'm a virgin" in previous years!
