The SOAS Students’ Union is renowned for being a strong and active union, representing one of the most diverse student bodies in the country, and this is going to continue and improve over the upcoming year. As usual, we’ll be hosting a wide array of activities, discussions, music events, food fayres and much much more. We invite you to come and participate, contribute debate and party with us; just make sure you come with an open mind and an open spirit.
The smoking area is now officially open, at long last, and the common room is going to finally have a much- needed make over in the summer. This will all help maintain the unique atmosphere that is SOAS, encouraging creativity and openness for all. Our regular pub quizzes will continue on Wednesdays, as well as the live Friday evening music in the JCR, with a very eclectic range of music. The rest of the week will comprise of a range of events, depending on how we’re feeling. It could be a deep discussion on the universal meaning of life to a serious analysis of stability in the Middle East. Keep posted on our union website, www.soasunion.org for a full up- to- date calendar of events.
If you have any ideas for events that you would like to do at SOAS, please contact us to discuss further. We’re always open to new ideas.
