Bookings & Hire

Our swimming pool, sports hall and multi purpose studio are available for hire and can be used for a wide range of activities. We offer one off sessions for badmington, Studio Base 1 and Studio Base 2 as well as block bookings (10 sessions) for Studio Base 1, Studio Base 2 and Swimming Pool (please note that Swimming Pool cannot be booked for a single session only). 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• One off sessions for badminton and Studio Base 1 can only be booked up to 7 days in advance.

• Bookings must be made in person at Energybase reception, though
  availability can be checked by calling 0207 664 2002.

• Full rental fees are payable at time of booking.

• Energybase does not provide any balls, shuttle cocks, or rackets.

 

Booking Procedures

1. To claim student rate the booking must be made in a University of London Student’s name that holds a UL card. Their card number must be supplied on the booking form.
2. To claim associate rate the booking must be made by a member of staff of UL, or graduate and they must hold an associate membership of UL, which can be gained at reception. Their card number must be supplied on the booking form.

3. To claim competitive club rate you should supply a copy of material showing your affiliation to league/governing body (e.g. membership card).

4. All other hirers must pay private members rate.
 

Payment Procedures

1. VAT will be applied to all bookings other than student/associate members of ULU.

2. All payments must be paid upon booking unless a purchase order reference can be supplied.

3. If a purchase order is being used the original copy must be supplied with the booking form.

4. Booking will only be secure once payment or purchase order has been received.

5. Those who provide purchase order references will be invoiced at the end of the booking to allow for closures and cancellations.

6. If payment of Invoice is not received within 30 days, renewal for the following booking period will not be offered until the invoice is paid i.e. invoice for the 1st booking period not paid, 3rd booking period will not be offered until invoice paid.

All hirers are subject to the terms and conditions of Energybase and are subject to the same rules and regulations. All hirers have to sign in at reception before entering the club. Hirers who are not members of the club are only permitted to use their venue of hire and the changing facilities. They cannot use the gym, swimming pool (unless hired) or attend classes.

 

Minimum and Maximum numbers

Studio Base 1 is only suitable for 4-a-side football, a total of 12 players is the maximum allowed. Tournaments cannot be organised without the permission of Energybase management. More than 12 people turning up for booking could result in the booking being cancelled.

There is a 4 person maximum for a badminton booking. Tournaments cannot be organised without the permission of Energybase management. More than 4 people turning up for booking could result in the booking being cancelled.
