Mens Football Finals

The Mens Challenge Cup and Reserve Cup Finals were played on 20/03/2013 at Sport Imperials ground in Teddington. All sides involved had great support with sabbatical officers, football club presidents and banner waving spectators all cheering from the touchlines. Photos from both fixtures can be viewed on the ULU Facebook page and flcker account. The Reserve Cup finished 4-0 to GKT 5th XI, even after a valiant effort from Heythrop the medics were just too strong for them. In the Challenge Cup a late SOAS sending off gave GKT 1st XI enough of an edge to steal a dramatic victory from a corner in extra time.

Womens Football Finals

After a delay in playing the womens final the rescheduled match took place at Teddington sports ground on the 17th of April. Soas fielded an understrength team due to exams starting in the summer term but still fought to bring the game level with a superb team goal against a relentless KCLMS (GKT) side who took an early lead through a goalkeeping error. With the clocking ticking down in the second half a moment of individual brilliance saw a fine finish curl inside the far post to put the cup in KCLM's hands.
