LSHTMThe LSHTM is a leading institution in Europe for public health and tropical medicine, and is associated with the World Health Organisation.

It was first established by Royal Charter in 1924, incorporating the London School of Tropical Medicine founded in 1899. The school was established to provide the UK's major resource in postgraduate teaching and research on health in the tropics and to be the British national school of public health.

Today the LSHTM is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in public health, international health and tropical medicine with a remarkable depth and breadth of expertise.
